Maria Isabel Bocater is one of the founding partners of Bocater Advogados and has been practicing business law for over 40 years, with solid experience in corporate law, regulation, the structure and functioning of the capital markets, and administrative sanctioning proceedings. Her work is recognized by the market, peers and prestigious national and international directories.
Maria Isabel was the second woman to hold the position of Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), after having held the positions of lawyer, manager and Legal Superintendent of the Commission. She was also an alternate member of the National Financial System Appeals Council (CRSFN). She lectures at seminars on issues relating to the legislation applicable to listed companies and the securities market. She is the author of several articles published in newspapers and specialized magazines.
