Matheus Rossi’s practice in the Capital Markets area is broad and involves debt operations, securitization and structuring of investment funds, through public and private offerings, as well as legal advice to various market participants.He also acts as legal advisor to various institutional investors, notably pension funds and Social Security Schemes (RPPS), on investment-related issues, with special emphasis on the regulations governing these entities. His practice also involves mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and real estate transactions, especially when they include capital market transactions.
Before joining the firm in 2008, Matheus worked in Banco do Brasil’s legal department for almost 10 years, including in the position of Deputy Legal Advisor to the Banco do Brasil Employee Pension Fund (Previ). In this position, he provided legal advice on a wide range of matters related to the entity’s investments and holdings, in capital market operations, M&A, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, debt restructuring, real estate operations, arbitration proceedings, among others.
His experience also includes 10 years of executive work as Director of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), an organization considered to be a corporate governance think tank, a collaborative network of ideas dedicated to exploring important governance themes and issues that have a positive impact on society.
Matheus is the author of several technical articles published in specialized magazines and widely circulated newspapers.
