On 5/16, our lawyer Luiz Pompeu will speak at the workshop "The tokenization of finance: from cryptoactive to central bank digital currencies", promoted by the Brazilian Central Bank.
Luiz will talk about an article he wrote with Egmon Henrique de Oliveira Costa and was selected for the event. Entitled "Stablecoins as securities: derivatives and collective investment contracts?", the text aims to examine whether stablecoins can be classified as securities under Brazilian law, more specifically as derivatives or collective investment contracts.
The workshop aims to discuss the topics of central bank digital currencies, tokenization and crypto-activities, considering aspects related to Economics and Finance, Law and Technology.
