Em entrevista à Bloomberg Tax & Accounting, nosso sócio Francisco Moreira falou sobre as incertezas que rondam as empresas no Brasil em meio as adaptações do país para aderir à OCDE.
De acordo com ele, a divergência entre regras internas e padrões internacionais faz com que algumas empresas operando no Brasil corram o risco sofrerem dupla taxação. Confira abaixo um trecho da reportagem:
Brazil’s divergence from global standards means some multinationals operating there have to accept that they will likely be double-taxed, and deal with the complexities of complying with two sets of transfer pricing standards on cross-border transactions. For example, a European multinational probably already calculates the arm’s length price for its business in Brazil, because it needs to apply that standard to its economic activity in Brazil for its home country taxes, said Francisco Moreira, a partner in international tax and transfer pricing at Bocater, Camargo, Costa e Silva, Rodrigues Advogados in São Paulo.
